Box Score Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius College men's soccer team got their season off to a strong start with a 7-0 victory over Penn State Allegheny in their season opener at home on Friday afternoon.
Jim Smith scored on a penalty kick in the 14th minute to begin the score. Later in the half,
Patrick Chea and
Molia Sesay added goals to make it 3-0 in favor of the Mount heading into the half.
In the second half, Chea added a second goal in the 55th minute, and
Kevin Ouellette made it 5-0 on a pass from
Austin Old in the 69th minute. Chea completed his hat trick off a
Winston Crozier assist in the 72nd minute, and Sesay finished the scoring with a left-footed volley in the 78th minute.
Justin Hann and
Sebastian Fountain split time in net in recording the shutout. The Mounties outshot the visitors 34-1.
