Buffalo, NY - In their most impressive defensive performance of the season, the Mount Aloysius women's basketball team beat D'Youville 54-40 on Sunday afternoon to earn their second win in as many days.

The Mounties held D'Youville to 9-for-48 shooting in the game and raced to an early lead. Their advantage was 22-4 with 7:07 to play in the first half. After bringing a double-digit lead into halftime, the Mounties kept a double-digit advantage throughout the second half en route to the victory.

Becky Bard led the Mount on offense with 20 points, including a trio of three-point shots. Abbie Zinobile registered 12 points. Lindsy Sammarco grabbed nine rebounds and dished four assists, and Alexis Restori had four steals.

The win moves the Mount to 5-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
