Men's Soccer Defeated by Behrend

Box Score
Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team allowed two second half goals and dropped an AMCC match 2-0 to visiting Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon.

The Mounties hung with first-place Behrend throughout the match. Justin Hann kept Mount Aloysius in the game early with four first-half saves, including a tip over the bar that kept the Lions off the board. The two teams entered halftime deadlocked at 0-0.

The defensive battle continued into the second half until the game opened up with Behrend playing up a player due to a red card. In the 62nd minute, the visitors scored off of a cross to make it 1-0. After the Mounties sent bodies forward looking for the equalizer, the Lions scored off of a counter in the 88th minute to seal the game.

Hann finished with six saves for the Mounties. John Ouellette, Kevin Ouellette, Winston Crozier, Patrick Chea, Aubrey Brown and Graham Hunter each registered a shot.

Even with the loss, the Mounties have clinched a playoff berth for the second season in a row with one game to play. Mount Aloysius will host Penn State Altoona on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in their regular season finale. Seniors Zach Whittington, Xavier Cardona and Austin Old will be honored prior to the game.
