Box Score Erie, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team lost 4-0 to Penn State Behrend in an AMCC semifinal matchup on Wednesday afternoon on the road.
Behrend, who came into the contest with a 16-3 record and a #6 regional ranking, used a strong first half in which the hosts notched three goals to take control.
The Mounties had the game's first chance as
Patrick Chea got behind the defense. His shot was blocked by a Behrend defender just a few yards off the goal line. After the initial chance, Behrend maintained possession and scored two goals at the 35:56 mark and 31:58 mark to take an early 2-0 lead. They added a third goal off of a header with 17 minutes to go in the half, and capped the scoring 12 minutes into the second half of play.
Justin Hann made four stops in net before being relieved by Michael Chiaravalloti with 12 minutes left to play. Chiaravalloti made a nice diving stop down the stretch.
With the loss, the Mounties end the season with an overall record of 8-11-1. The 8 wins is second most in school history, following a 10-win campaign last season.

Zach Whittington and
