Mounties Fall to Chargers

Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team lost 90-73 to visiting Lancaster Bible College on Monday evening in non-conference action.

The game was close early, and the Mounties led by five points after a layup and free throw from Joe Dziabo with 10:59 left in the first half. After Lancaster Bible tied the game up 24-24 with 9:55 on the clock, the Chargers took the lead and led by ten points after a dunk by Dondre Perry with 6:21 remaining in the half. The visitors eventually took a 14-point lead into the halftime break.

Lancaster Bible continued with their efficient offense in the second half as the Mounties would get no closer than 14 points down the stretch.

Arin Wade and Tanner Thomas both finished in double figures for Mount Aloysius with 14 points apiece. Thomas shot 7-for-13 from the field, while Wade hit 5-of-6 shots at the free throw line. Drew Knowles mixed six points, five rebounds and four assists, and Tre Brown scored nine points off the bench.

CJ Dunston led five LBC players in scoring with 22 points to go with seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks. The Chargers shot 32-for-56 (57.1%) overall from the field.

The Mounties fall to 4-5 overall and will now head to California for games against The University of La Verne and California Institute of Technology on Wednesday and Thursday.
