Box Score Erie, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team fell in a close contest to Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon in AMCC action, as the Mounties were defeated 67-63 on the road.
Davario Barksdale nearly recorded a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Leading the Mounties on the offensive end was
Dillon Bender, who dropped in 18 points with a 4-for-8 showing from behind the arc.
Shawn Greenfield was 11-for-12 at the line while finishing with 20 points.
Clint Wagner had seven rebounds, three assists and two steals off the bench.
The game was back-and-forth throughout as there were 18 lead changes between the sides. The Mounties held their largest lead of the game at seven with 5:49 left in the first half, but Behrend responded with a 10-0 run to take a 29-26 lead into the half.
The Mounties cut the deficit to two in the final minute of the game on two Greenfield free throws, but the home side hit their free throws to secure the victory.
With the loss, the Mounties fall to 8-10 overall and 5-7 in the AMCC.
