Women's Basketball Defeated on the Road

Box Score
Bradford, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team fell to Pitt-Bradford by a final score of 66-45 on Saturday afternoon in an AMCC contest.

The Mounties struggled offensively throughout, as they shot just 15-for-61 (24.6%) from the floor for the ballgame. Ali Maruca finished with a team-high eight points, and Becky Bard added seven points and four rebounds. Off the bench, Abbie Zinobile was strong on the glass as she finished with nine rebounds.

The Mount fell in a 12-0 hole early on and trailed by 15 at the half. A Maruca three-point shot cut the deficit to 10 with 16:35 to go in the second half, but Mount Aloysius wouldn't get any closer as Bradford pulled away for the win.

Despite the loss, the Mounties are still tied for third in the standings with Pitt-Greensburg at 11-5 in conference play. If they finish in third or fourth, they will host a first-round home playoff game.
