Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius baseball team couldn't overcome conference-leading La Roche College, as the Redhawks defeated the Mounties by scores of 17-2 and 11-2 in an AMCC doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon. With the victories, the Redhawks clinched the AMCC regular season championship and home field advantage in the upcoming AMCC Tournament.

Connor Bowie stayed hot offensively with a solo home run in the first inning of game one and two hits in game two. Ian Helsel had two hits in game one.

Despite the defeats, the Mounties have clinched an AMCC playoff spot with a record of 8-6 in conference play.

Currently, Mount Aloysius is in fifth in the conference standings and could end up anywhere between second place and sixth place depending on remaining conference results.

Mount Aloysius falls to 15-18 overall and returns to action on Saturday with a home AMCC doubleheader against Medaille.
