Box Score Frederick, MD - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team was defeated by Hood College 3-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon on the road.
The Mounties came out sluggish in the first half and allowed three goals from the home side in the half. Hood scored in the 14th, 31st and 42nd minute to take command of the game.
Mount Aloysius played a much improved second half as they started to control the tempo of play.
Patrick Chea had two shots misfire, and
Graham Hunter hit the post from close range before
Aubrey Brown finally got the visitors on the board in the 81st minute off of a feed from
Trevor Smith.
Minutes later,
Zach Whittington had a point blank chance cleared off of the line from two yards out. The Mounties couldn't muster any more opportunities down the stretch.
Mike Chiaravalloti (five saves) and
Justin Hann (seven saves) split time in net for the Mounties, who return to action on Saturday evening with a trip to Albright College.
