Men's Soccer Wins at Rosemont

Rosemont, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team scored three goals in the second half and recorded their first shutout of the season on Wednesday afternoon as the visiting Mounties defeated the Rosemont College Ravens 3-0 in their final non-conference game of the season.

After a scoreless first half, the Mounties held the majority of possession in the second period of play. Patrick Chea got the Mounties on the scoreboard when he scored on the break off of an assist from Jim Smith in the 54th minute of play. Mount Aloysius continued to press and the visitors were rewarded with just over 22 minutes left in the game. Trevor Smith ripped a shot into the lower left corner off of a loose ball to make it a 2-0 game.

Mount Aloysius scored a beautiful goal in the 70th minute when Kevin Ouellette flicked through a pass to a streaking Graham Hunter, who calmly slotted in past the charging keeper to create a 3-0 advantage. The Mountie defense held strong to close the game, and Justin Hann picked up his fourth win of the season in goal.

Mount Aloysius outshot Rosemont 13-6, including a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal.

The Mounties begin AMCC competiton on Saturday when they travel to Buffalo, NY to take on D'Youville College at 4 p.m.
