Box Score 2 The Lady Mounties volleyball team had a lot of unfinished business at their conference opener this past Saturday at Pitt-Greensburg. They fell to 2013 Conference champions PSU-Behrend after an action packed five set match. Then, they regrouped and defeated Pitt-Bradford in another five set match. 
In the first match against PSU-Behrend the Mounties lost with the scores of 26-24, 12-25, 9-25, 25-21, and 15-6. Freshman, 
Lakyn Fornari led with 14 kills while sophomore 
Lindsey Mercer was right behind her with 10 kills. Sophomores, 
Jordan DeMasi led in assists with 17 and 
Katie Reed ended with 16.
Mount Aloysius won their second match against Pitt-Bradford by way of  16-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-23 and 15-7. Sophomore, 
Lindsey Mercer led the Mounties with 18 kills and 27 digs. Freshman,  
Kristin Miles finished with 9 kills and 6 blocks. Sophomores 
Katie Reed led in assists with 22 while 
Jordan DeMasi finished with 19.
"We came into this weekend ready to make some noise in the conference, "said head coach 
Brianna Baker, "Our hard work has paid off and we showed that by having a great weekend."
