Waynesburg, PA - The Mount Aloysius College women's tennis team fell by a score of 8-1 in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon against Waynesburg University.
All three doubles matches were very competitive as
Loreal Housler and
Leah Stoehr lost by a score of 8-4 at first doubles, and the pair of
Afton Dunkle and
Felicia Phillips dropped a close third doubles matchup by a score of 8-6.
Housler picked up the Mount's lone victory of the day with a 6-4, 6-3 win at first singles. Stoehr lost at second singles in a 10-8 tiebreaker after she split the first two games with her opponent 4-6, 6-2.
Mount Aloysius is back in action on Friday when they travel to crosstown opponent Penn State Altoona for a 4 p.m. contest.
