Box Score Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team won their second game in as many days with a 4-1 win over Bethany College on their home field on Saturday afternoon.
The Mounties came out flying from the start and were rewarded in the 12th minute when
John Ouellette scored on a free kick from 45 yards out as he beat the Bethany keeper over the top. The Mounties continued to put the pressure on the Bison throughout the half, and
Austin Old created a 2-0 advantage when he blasted home a
Graham Hunter cross at the 41:40 mark to give the hosts a two-goal lead at halftime.
The Mount continued to push the pace as the second half began.
Patrick Chea beat the defense and the keeper but mishit hit his shot just a few minutes into the half.
Molia Sesay then made it a 3-0 game six minutes into the half when he scored on a breakaway off of a through ball from
Aubrey Brown. The Mounties pushed it to a 4-0 game on a
Kevin Ouellette goal off of a well-placed ball from
Jim Smith.
The Bison got one back in the 76th minute after a loose ball scramble resulted in a goal for the visitors off of the foot of Emmett Dwyer.
Justin Hann and the Mountie backline held strong for the remainder of the contest and the Mounties came out with the 4-1 win.
Mount Aloysius improves to 2-2 on the season and will host Juniata on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
