Box Score Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team lost 98-73 to visiting Pitt-Bradford on Sunday afternoon in AMCC play.
Tanner Thomas scored a team-high 18 points for the Mounties on 8-for-10 shooting from the field while adding eight rebounds.
Arin Wade also finished in double figures with 16 points on the strength of an 8-for-9 showing at the line.
Chad Eisenhuth and
Nolan Doyle each recorded four assists.
The Mounties shot 30-for-61 (49.2%) from the floor, but the visiting Panthers shot 37-for-66 (56.1%) and hit 12-of-18 three-point shots on the day. Bradford was led by the combination of Eric Matheson (24 points, five assists) and Keith Burgess (23 points, six assists, five steals).
Mount Aloysius led 8-4 early on before the visitors went on a 12-4 run to take a 16-8 advantage. Bradford ended up taking a 48-39 lead into the half. The visitors extended the lead to 20 points with 12:46 remaining and the Mounties wouldn't get any closer for the remainder of the game.
The Mounties fall to 6-8 overall and 4-3 in the AMCC. They return to action next Saturday at Penn State Behrend.
