Cresson, PA - The Lady Mounties Volleyball team took on AMCC conference rival Medaille College on Saturday, October 17th. The Mounties had a slow start but then came back and defeated their opponent 3-1, (17-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-23).

Elizabeth Yacobucci led the Mounties offensively with 17 kills and a solid .429 hitting average. Lindsey Mercer contributed ten kills of her own. Brenna Wright paced the defense with 19 digs. Jordan DeMasi dished out a game high 24 assists. Megan Ruddock and Kristin Miles controlled the net as they each put up five blocks.

The highlight of the day came during the third set when Brenna Wright reached her career milestone of 1,000 digs. Wright is only the second Mount Aloysius College volleyball player in the programs history to reach 1,000 career digs.

This win keeps the Lady Mounties at fifth in the conference and gives them a great position to move up in the AMCC rankings. Their next match is on October 20^th at 7pm when the Lady Mounties host La Roche College for their annual Pink Out game.
