Mounties Fall in Regular Season Finale

Altoona, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team fell by a score of 1-0 in their regular season finale on the road on Tuesday evening at Penn State Altoona in AMCC action.

The host Lions scored the lone goal of the contest with 28:45 remaining in the second half, and the Mounties couldn't find the equalizer down the stretch despite a number of opportunities.

In the first half, the Lions dominated play early on as they attempted the first five shots of the game. Mount Aloysius responded towards the end of the half. The Mounties nearly found the game's first goal, but a Todd Azeles free kick went off the crossbar.

Patrick Chea led the Mounties with two shots, while Justin Hann registered five saves in net.

The Mounties conclude their regular season with an overall record of 11-6-1 and an AMCC record of 8-1. Mount Aloysius will host a conference semifinal next Wednesday at 2 p.m. against the winner of Medaille and Penn State Altoona.
