Steubenville, OH - Abbie Zinobile scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Mount Aloysius women's basketball team opened up conference play with a 65-42 victory over host Franciscan on Wednesday evening.

The Mounties jumped out to a lead of 17-9 after the first quarter and led by a comfortable 23-point margin after three quarters of play on their way to the victory.

Mount Aloysius forced 19 turnovers and outrebounded by the Barons by a 46-36 margin. They also limited Franciscan to 28.3% shooting on the evening.

Antwayne' Parks also finished in double figures with 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Abby Kulick recorded nine points and five boards, and Alexia Servello distributed six assists and registered two steals.

The Mounties improve to 2-3 overall with the win and return to action on Saturday with another road conference matchup at Hilbert with tipoff set for 3 p.m.
