Bradford, PA - The Mount Aloysius College women's volleyball team battled well for their first two conference matches. On Saturday, the team went up against Pitt-Bradford and PSU-Behrend. The Mounties took Bradford to five sets for their first run at the conference. The scores favored Mount Aloysius 21-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-23, and 15-13. Lindsey Mercer lead the team with 16 kills and Jordan DeMasi had 23 assists. Megan Ruddock also chipped in her fair share of points with 13 kills and six blocks.

The Mounties came out on fire for their second match, but lost some steam toward the middle and end. They fell to PSU-Behrend in four with scores of 25-21, 14-25, 16-25, and 14-25. Once again, leading the Mounties in kills was Mercer. She logged 16 kills and DeMasi had 17 assists. Brenna Wright led the team in digs with a total of 21, and Ruddock added seven blocks.

The Mounties take on Pitt-Greensburg in another AMCC matchup on the road this Wednesday, September 30^th at 7 p.m.
