Cresson, PA - Senior Dillon Bender scored his 1000th career point with 41 seconds remaining in the ballgame, but the Mount Aloysius men's basketball team fell by a final score of 81-62 on Saturday afternoon to Penn State Behrend at home in AMCC action.

Bender, who needed 14 points entering Saturday's contest to hit the milestone, registered his 1000th point on a three-point shot as the game came to a close. The senior guard finished with 15 points while hitting four shots from behind the arc. Shaire Tolson-Ford added 14 points, Jourdan Lamberth had nine points off the bench and Joe Dziabo recorded six points and two steals in defeat.

Behrend jumped out to a 11-2 lead before the Mounties scored six straight points capped by a three-point shot from Arin Wade to cut the deficit to 11-8. The Lions held a slim 18-16 advantage after three free throws from Jourdan Lamberth with 11:28 remaining, and Behrend led 25-21 before ending the half on on a 18-6 run to take a 43-27 lead into the break. The Mounties cut the Behrend lead to 11 points on a Tre Brown layup with 7:22 left in the ballgame, but would get no closer as Behrend took the victory.
