Box Score Cresson, PA - A fourth-quarter push carried visiting La Roche over the Mount Aloysius women's basketball team as the Redhawks edged the Mounties by a final score of 66-57 on Wednesday evening in AMCC action.
The Mounties led 41-39 after three quarters as the home side used strong defense throughout the game. However, the Redhawks started the fourth quarter on a 10-0 run to take a 49-41 lead with 7:33 remaining in the ballgame. Despite the Mounties best efforts, the Redhawks maintained a steady advantage on their way to the victory.
Antwayne' Parks paced the Mounties with a double-double effort as she contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Alexia Servello scored 12 points and distributed five assists.
Abby Kulick added 12 points and
Kara Cordell came off the bench to finish in double figures with 10 points along with five boards.
Abbie Zinobile registered nine rebounds and two blocks.
The Mounties outrebounded the Redhawks 53-36 but shot just 35.1 percent from the field in the defeat.
Mount Aloysius falls to 9-10 overall and 6-6 in conference play. The Mounties return to the court on Saturday with a 3 p.m. matchup at Medaille.
