Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team used a late second half run that carried the Mounties to a 83-75 victory over visiting Penn State Altoona on Wednesday evening in AMCC play.

The two teams were tied at 70-70 with 4:52 to play after an Altoona basket before a 7-1 run by the Mounties gave the home side a six-point lead with 2:16 remaining after Joe Dziabo scored on a layup off of an assist from Chad Eisenhuth. Arin Wade came up with a big bucket with 1:06 to go to expand the advantage to 80-73, and the Mounties made 3-of-4 free throw attempts in the final minute to seal the conference victory.

All five Mounties starters finished in double figures in a balanced scoring attack on the offensive end. Dillon Bender led the way with 19 points, with Tre Brown (16), Wade (14), Dziabo (12) and Eisenhuth (12) all having strong offensive games. Brown added six rebounds, four assists and four steals, and Drew Knowles came off the bench to grab 13 rebounds and record three blocks in just 15 minutes on the court.

The Mounties were aided by a 10-for-25 showing from the three-point line led by Bender, who made 4-of-7 shots from behind the arc.
