Loretto, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team recorded a huge early season conference victory with a 71-69 win over Pitt-Bradford on Saturday evening at St. Francis University.
Darryl Sanders scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Mounties. Jourdan Lamberth finished in double figures with 14 points, and
Ryan Streets notched 12 points.
Troy Williams battled well inside to finish with seven points, nine rebounds and three blocks, and
Tre Brown dished out six assists while recording five steals on the defensive end.
Down one with 25 seconds left on the clock,
Chad Eisenhuth drilled a huge three-point shot from the corner to hand the Mounties a 70-68 lead. Pitt-Bradford responded as Evan Greening went 1-for-2 at the free throw line, and Eisenhuth then went 1-for-2 from the charity stripe on the Mount's next possession. The Panthers then missed a potential game-winning three-point shot as the Mounties earned the victory.
With the victory, Mount Aloysius improves to 2-2 in conference play. They will return to the court on January 2nd in a non-conference matchup at Drew University.Â
