The Mounties would cut into the lead in the bottom of the third when Bryn Brown hit a three-run home run to make it a 5-3 ballgame. Pitt-Greensburg notched three runs combined in the fourth and fifth innings to expand their advantage back to 8-3. The Mounties put two runners on base in the sixth but again couldn't crack into the lead. Despite two more hits in their final at-bat, Mount Aloysius fell by a 8-4 margin.

Mount Aloysius recorded 12 hits in the game one loss, as Brown led the way with a 3-for-4 showing while Ian Helsel, Kyle Droz, Legath and Oswalt registered two hits apiece.

The Bobcats again jumped out to an early lead in game two with four runs in their first two at-bats. The Mounties responded by chipping away with a Chase Miller RBI single in the fourth inning followed by Brown driving in Jesse Bortner in the fifth inning on a fielder's choice to cut the gap to 4-2. However, Pitt-Greensburg responded with five more runs in their final three times at the plate, and Mount Aloysius couldn't muster a comeback attempt.

Daniel Resavy was handed the loss in game two after allowing six hits and three earned runs through six innings on the hill. Luke Stultz threw a scoreless ninth inning in relief.
