Bradford, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's tennis team earned its first conference victory of the season as the Mounties edged host Pitt-Bradford 5-4 on Sunday afternoon in AMCC action.
The duo of
Emily Goldyn and
Joselyn Walters won 8-5 at #1 doubles, and
Ericka Klavuhn and
Katelynn Arnold followed with an 8-1 win at #2 doubles. After falling #3 doubles as well as in #1 and #2 singles play,
Ericka Klavuhn won 6-2, 6-2 at #3 singles to get the Mounties back on the board. Arnold then won 6-1, 6-4 at #4 singles before
Mackenzie Roush sealed the victory with a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 win at the #5 singles slot.
The Mounties improve to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in AMCC action. They will return to the courts on Friday with a 5:30 p.m. match at Pitt-Greensburg.Â
