Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's volleyball team opened up their AMCC play by hosting a quad match with Pitt-Bradford, D'Youville and Penn State Altoona. 

The Lady Mounties started off with a hard fought match against the top team in the conference, Pitt-Bradford. They could not pull it together and lost in three sets with scores of 11-25, 21-25, 22-25. Kassidy Shumaker led the team with 6 kills. Katie Reed led with 14 assists and Brenna Wright contributed 19 digs. 

Next up the Lady Mounties took on D'Youville College. They battled back and forth the first four sets with scores of 19-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-22.  During the fifth set they came up short with a score of 16-18. The Lady Mounties were paced offensively by Lindsey Mercer with 15 kills and Sarah Fisher with 13. Katied Reed dished out 28 assists and Jordan DeMasi dished out 26 of her own. Brenna Wright led the defense with 31 digs. 

Next in AMCC action the Lady Mounties head to Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday, September 28th at 7pm.
