Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team made a valiant second half comeback but fell just short in a 70-63 defeat to first-place La Roche on Wednesday evening in AMCC action.

The Mounties were down 50-30 with 3:44 to play in the third quarter before cutting the deficit with a 12-1 run to 51-40 by the end of the quarter. To start the fourth quarter, Alexia Servello hit a layup and Abby Kulick drilled a three-point shot on back-to-back Mountie possessions to make it a 51-45 game with 9:17 to go. A three-point field goal courtesy of Breana Kendrick cut the La Roche advantage to three points at 59-56 with 4:22 on the clock.
