Buffalo, NY - The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team was defeated by host Medaille College by a final score of 91-71 on Saturday afternoon in AMCC action.

The Mounties trailed 28-24 after a high-scoring first quarter before the Mavericks expanded their advantage to 53-39 before halftime. Mount Aloysius cut the deficit to seven points midway through the third quarter, but Medaille responded with a strong close to the quarter and pulled away for the victory.

Breana Kendrick led the Mounties with 17 points on the offensive end, while Katie Bracken added 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. Jessa Wright scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Antwanye' Parks also finished in double figures with 13 points,

The Mounties fall to 2-4 in conference play with the loss. They will host Penn State Altoona on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in another conference matchup.
