Bradford, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team lost to host Pitt-Bradford by a final score of 78-59 on Saturday afternoon in AMCC action.
The game was tied 10-10 after
Brian Reams drilled a three-point shot with 12:33 remaining in the opening half, and the Mounties led 21-18 after Reams tipped in a shot and was fouled with 8:42 to go. The Panthers responded and held a slight lead throughout the remainder of the first half. After
Nick Burk cut the Bradford lead to 40-37 with 49 seconds left, Bradford scored a bucket plus a free throw with eight seconds left to take a 43-37 advantage into the half.
Mount Aloysius was down by eight early in the second half before coming back to take a 48-47 lead after a
Darryl Sanders basket with 13:12 left in the game. The Mounties led 55-50 after Burk scored on a layup with 10:47 left on the clock, but the Mounties couldn't get anything going on the offensive end down the stretch as they scored just four points for the remainder of the game as the Panthers pulled away for the win.
Chad Eisenhuth scored 15 points and added six rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Mounties. Burk scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and
Troy Williams registered 11 points, five boards and three blocks.
The Mounties will return to the court on Wednesday for a road game at Penn State Altoona at 8 p.m.
