Myrtle Beach, SC - The Mount Aloysius baseball team concluded its spring trip with a 3-6 record as the Mounties were in action throughout the week. Highlighting the trip was a 14-6 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan on Monday.

The Mounties began the trip with a doubleheader split against Lehman College, as Mount Aloysius won game one 8-1 before falling 3-2 in game two. Mount Aloysius registered another doubleheader split on day two as the Mounties fell 4-2 to Manhattanville in game one before capturing the victory in game two by a final score of 10-8. In game two, the Mounties fell into a 4-0 hole after the first inning but responded with five runs in their next two at-bats. Manhattanville regained an 8-5 lead after three innings before Mount Aloysius rallied once again. Highlights included a solo home run from Bryan Buzi and bunt single from Wardwell that gave Mount Aloysius the 9-8 lead. Creek Miller threw 3 and 2/3 scoreless innings in relief before Rodney Patterson came on to record the save in the seventh.

The Mounties then notched an impressive win over North Carolina Wesleyan on day three. The Mounties bats were active with 15 hits, led by a three-hit and four-RBI performance from Bryn Brown in the leadoff spot. Daniel Singer, Andrew Pasko, Campano and Wardwell each had two hits, and Jacob scored three runs in the nine-inning game. Roanoke rallied to tie the game after five innings, and took an 8-6 advantage in their next at-bat while gradually increasing their lead in the game's final innings on their way to a 14-6 victory.
