Box Score
Winchester, VA - The Mount Aloysius baseball team dropped a non-conference contest by a final score of 13-4 on Sunday afternoon against the nation's #3 ranked team Shenandoah.

The host Hornets jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after one inning before the Mounties countered with a run as Jordan Campano drew a walk with the bases loaded to score Kyle Droz. Shenandoah then scored five runs in the bottom of the second inning and added another run in the third to take a commanding 9-1 lead. In the top of the fourth inning, the Mounties cut the deficit to 9-3 when TJ Wardwell scored off of a Hornet error, and Bryn Brown then drove in Campano with a single up the middle. Mount Aloysius added another run in the fifth when Daniel Singer came around off of a Chase Miller groundout.

With the Shenandoah lead at 9-4, the Mounties were held off the board for the remainder of the game as the Hornets added two runs apiece in the sixth and seventh innings.

Brown and Droz each recorded two hits for the Mounties, while Campano and Wardwell each reached base three times with two walks and one hit apiece. On the mound, Luke Stultz was handed the loss.

The Mounties drop to 3-9 overall and will return to the field on Tuesday with a trip to Messiah College. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
