Buffalo, NY - The Lady Mounties volleyball team opened up conference play on Saturday with a quad match at D'Youville College.

Their first game was the AMCC Game of the Week against D'Youville College. It was a hard fought battle with the first four set's scores of 25-12, 25-23, 12-25, 16-25 but the Lady Mounties pulled out the fifth set 15-10 and won 3-2. Sarah Fisher led the Mounties with 15 kills and 4 blocks. Emma Pevarnik led with 19 assists and 3 aces. Kylee Clawson led the defense with 30 digs.

The second game the Lady Mounties took on Pitt-Bradford. The first set was close with the Mounties leading until the end where they let it slip away with a score of 25-27. They came back with vengeance and took a huge lead that Pitt-Bradford could not come back from. The Mounties won that set 25-20. The next sets the Lady Mounties could not pull it together. They lost the last two sets with the scores of 18-25 and 18-25. Sarah Fisher led the Mounties with 15 kills and 4 blocks. Jessica Bressler and Emma Pevarnik both had 16 assists. Kylee Clawson led the defense with 23 digs.

The Lady Mounties next battle is against conference opponent Pitt-Greensburg at Mount Aloysius Wednesday, September 27th at 7pm.
