Bethany, WV - The Men's Mount Aloysius College soccer team suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday afternoon as the Mounties dropped a 3-1 game to host Bethany College in non-conference action on the road.

The Bison took a 1-0 lead into halftime and made it a 2-0 game two minutes into the second half. Mount Aloysius responded at the 60 minute mark when Will Funez headed a nice through pass from Pete Smerecky into the back of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1. However, Bethany scored just over three minutes later to take a 3-1 advantage on their way to winning the match.

The Bison held the Mounties to just seven shots over the course of two periods. Graham Hunter and Funez each recorded two shots for the Mounties.

The Mounties now sit with a 8-1-1 overall record (with a 1-0 record in conference).  They will take on Penn State Behrend in Erie this Saturday at 1 p.m.
