Westminster, MD - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest to McDaniel College by a final score of 57-40 on Monday evening on the road.
In a low-scoring affair, the Mounties trailed 17-12 just after the midpoint of the first half when
Shaire Tolson-Ford hit two free throw attempts. After McDaniel increased the advantage to 11 points on two different occasions, Mount Aloysius went into halftime down 31-23. The Mounties struggled to find consistency on the offensive end in the second half as the Green Terror expanded their lead to 45-30 with 15 minutes remaining in the ballgame. McDaniel comfortably led for the rest of the contest to record the victory.
Julian Stover was the lone Mountie in double figures with 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field.
Josiah Jones led the team in rebounding with six and added two assists, while
Tommy Pisula chipped in with six points and six rebounds.
The Mounties return to the court on Wednesday with a conference game at Pitt-Greensburg. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
