Buffalo, NY- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team traveled to Buffalo over the weekend for the AMCC conference game of the week, which they won by a score of 1-0 over D'Youville College.

The Mounties controlled the majority of possession as they were able to take 23 shots compared to only 3 by their opponents. They were able to put 16 of those shots on target, while earning 7 corner kicks. Jordan Gebhart led the Mounties with 5 shots, 4 on goal, while Cheyenne Kuncher took 4, 2 on goal.

The lone goal came courtesy of a hustle play by Gebhart. in the 62nd minute, Summer Schell took a long free kick that Gebhart was able to collect in the box and fire past the goal keeper to score the game winning goal. The goal was Gebhart's 6th of the year as well as being her 4th game winning goal. Gebhart is 7th in the AMCC in goals scored and tied for first in game winning goals.

Lauren Davey made 2 saves in the game to pick up her league leading 11th win and 7th shut out. Davey's goals against average sits at .74 goals per game, which is also good for the top spot in the AMCC.

The Mounties are now 12-0-2 with a 6-0-1 record in conference play. Their next game will be on Wednesday when they travel to Steubenville, OH to take on AMCC foe Franciscan University.
