Steubenville, OH- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer Team took its undefeated record to Ohio on Wednesday to take on Franciscan University. Despite falling behind in the first half, the Mounties were able to score two goals in the second half to earn the 2-1 victory.

The Mounties started off slow as they shared possession with Franciscan, only taking 4 shots in the half. The slow start was compounded in the 39th minute when Franciscan was able to score to take a 1-0 lead into the break. The Mounties bounced back after halftime, as they took 6 shots and 3 corner kicks in the half while not allowing Franciscan to take any.

The Mounties were able to tie the game just 90 seconds after the break. Summer Schell bent a free kick around the wall and into the corner of the net for her 4th goal of the season. With just under 5 minutes remaining in the game, the Mounties took advantage of a set piece to win the match. Kourtney Walls headed a corner kick off the crossbar and over the line to give the Mounties the 2-1 lead. The goal was Walls' 5th of the year. 

Goalkeeper Lauren Davey recorded 1 save en route to picking up her 12th win of the season.

The Mounties (14-0-2, 7-0-1) will take on Penn State Behrend on Saturday starting at 1:00 PM. The Winner of that game will likely win the AMCC Regular Season Title and top seed in the Conference Tournament.
