Cresson, PA- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team's 15-game undefeated streak came to an end on Saturday as they fell to Penn State Behrend by a final score of 1-0 in the AMCC Game of the Week. 

The Mounties held the high scoring Lions off the board for the first 86 minutes, but allowed a late goal off of a failed clearance with just a few minutes remaining. Freshman Lauren Davey started the game in goal for the Mounties but had to be subbed off after being injured on a one-on-one save. Senior Leanne Cardoso-Bastos stepped in and had a tremendous game. She made seven saves including multiple acrobatic and 1-on-1 saves against the top scoring team in the conference.

The Mounties were able to create 6 shots in the match. Senior Cheyenne Kuncher was a consistent threat in the attack as she took 5 of the Mounties shots and got 3 of them on target. Kuncher had the Mounties best chance of the game midway through the second half when she got behind the Behrend defense, but her shot sailed just wide.

With the loss the Mounties fall to 13-1-2 on the season with a 8-1 record in AMCC play. They have clinched the second seed in the AMCC Tournament and will have a bye for the first round. They will travel to Stevenson University for a non-conference match on Wednesday before preparing for postseason play starting next week.
