Owings Mills, MD- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team fell to Stevenson University on Wednesday night by a score of 3-0. 

The Mounties stayed close to their opponent throughout the match. The Mustangs used a late first-half goal to take a 1-0 lead into halftime, before the Mounties came out firing in the second half. Mount Aloysius notched four shots and had two corner kick opportunities in the opening 20 minutes while controlling play, but weren't able to find the back of the net. Late in the second half, Stevenson scored two goals to put the game away.

The Mounties were outshot by Stevenson 19-9 in the match with Jordan Gebhart leading the Mountie attack with 2 shots. Leanne Cardoso-Bastos played in goal for the Mounties and made 5 saves in the loss.

The Mounties finish their regular season with a program record 13 regular season wins. Their 7-1-1 record in AMCC play places them in the 2nd seed in the Conference Tournament. They will receive a bye in the first round, and take on the winner of D'Youville College and Franciscan in the 2nd round. The game will take place on Wednesday, October 31st at 5:00 PM.
