Buffalo, NY - The Mount Aloysius Volleyball team finished their regular season play on Saturday, as they defeated Medaille College by a score of 3-0.
The Mounties cruised their way to their 17th win of the year, allowing Medaille to reach scores of 15, 12 and 16 in the three games. They hit .293 in the match, which was highlights by a second set in which the Mounties hit .370.
Sarah Fisher led the way offensively. She totaled 14 kills on 18 attacks committing only 1 error. This gave her a hitting percentage of .722 for the match.
Macy King also had an efficient match as she collected 6 kills on only 13 attacks.
Jessica Bressler and
Emma Pevarnik split the setting duties evenly, as they both finished the match with 17 assists.
Kylee Clawson led the Mounties defensive efforts as she tallied 14 digs. She also chipped in from the serving line, leading the Mounties with 4 service aces.Â
The win Moves the Mounties record to 17-10 with an 8-1 record in AMCC play. They have clinched the second seed in the AMCC Tournament and have earned a bye in the first round. Their next action will be in Erie, PA on Saturday the 3rd, when they play the winner of #3 seed Pitt-Bradford and #6 seed Medaille in the tournament semifinal.
