Cresson, PA- The Mount Aloysius Soccer team finished in a 1-1 draw under the lights Wednesday against Penn State Altoona.
The game was level for most of the first half until two freshmen combined do give the Mounties a lead.
Christine Mpembele led an attack down the left wing and was able to get a cross off into the box.
Katie Miller was able to collect it in traffic and blast the ball into the net. The goal was the first in Miller's career. The Mountie lead lasted for 35 minutes until Penn State Altoona was able to level the game on a headed ball off of a free kick.
Mount Aloysius dominated possession in the two overtime periods, outshooting Altoona 6-3 in the overtime period. Despite the advantage, the Mounties were unable to put one in the net and finished in a tie.
Lauren Davey finished the match with 2 saves in goal.
The Mounties (9-0-2, 4-0-1) will host Hilbert College on Saturday October 6th as they celebrate Senior Day.Â
