Ebensburg, PA- The Mount Aloysius Women's Tennis team defeated Waynesburg on Friday evening, by a score of 9-0.

The Mounties dominated the top two doubles pairings as both Emily Goldyn and Chloe Love (1) and Payton Whysong and Leah Stoehr (2) defeated their opponents 8-0. The third pairing of Katelynn Arnold and Maggie Willason had a tougher time, but were able to prevail 9-7.

In singles Emily Golydn was able to pull off a comeback victory in the top slot. After losing the first set 4-6, she came back to defeat her opponent with a 6-2 second set victory and 10-4 in the tiebreaker. The Mounties easily defeated their opponents after the top pairing as Love and Stoehr both won their matches only allowing 1 game victory in the two sets. 

The Mounties (8-1, 5-1) will return to AMCC play on Sunday when they travel to Penn State Altoona.
