BEAVER FALLS -- The Mount Aloysius Women's Tennis team played two games this weekend against Presidents' Athletic Conference foes to open up the 2019 season. The first weekend of games, did not go as well as hoped.

On Friday, the women took on St. Vincent College in Latrobe, and lost 7-2. Chloe Love (Duncansville, PA, Hollidaysburg) and Payton Whysong (Imler, PA, Chestnut Ridge) won their #1 Doubles match, and Whysong won her #2 Singles match as well. Love made a valiant effort in her #1 Singles match, winning the first set and losing tough in the third set, 10-8.

On Saturday, the Mounties finished their weekend in Beaver Falls, PA, taking on Geneva College. The Tornadoes made it tough for the visitors, as Whysong was the only one to win a match, in #2 Singles. Love once again made a a tough opponent, before falling in three sets at #1 Singles. 

Mount Aloysius will be on the road again, next weekend, as they open up AMCC competition in Buffalo. Saturday they will take on Medaille, then travel across town to battle D'Youville on Sunday.
