Box Score Cresson -- The Mount Aloysius Athletic community made history Sunday, as they hosted and competed in the school's first ever Women's Lacrosse game. The Mounties fell to the visiting Medaille Mavericks in the inaugural game.

Maddie Waite (New Oxford, PA, New Oxford) led the Mounties, scoring four of their five goals on the day. The freshmen also registered eight of the team's ten shots on goal.

Katie Figinski (Abingdon, MD, Edgewood) had the other lone Mountie goal.

Jaden Hood (Huntingdon, PA, Huntingdon) tallied a game-high ten saves in the loss.
- Emma Campagna led the Mavericks with five goals and two assists, for seven total points. Tatiana Wright had seven saves in goal.
Highlights
- Waite started off the scoring in the game, giving the Mounties a 1-0 lead. The goal was the first of her career, as well as the first goal in program history. It came with 26:24 left in the first half.
- After falling behind 3-1, Waite again found the back of the net, sandwiching two goals around one Maverick score. The Mounties pulled within 4-3.
- In the second half, Figinski scored her only goal of the day, making the score 14-4, Mavericks. Figinski's goal was also the first of her career.
- Waite scored the final Mountie goal with just under 15 minutes remaining in the game.
The game turned out a solid number of fans for the first game at Mount Aloysius. There was a tailgate area and programs with the Rules of Lacrosse provided for all fans in attendance. Those that missed Sunday's game will have their chance to see the Mounties in action again, at home, on Tuesday when they host Hilbert.
