Camacho's Hat Trick Powers Mounties Over Bobcats, 5-1

CRESSON, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Soccer team played host to Pitt-Greensburg, on Tuesday night. Behind five goals, three from Juan Camacho (Ibaque, Colombia, San Bonifacio de las Lanzas), they sent the Bobcats home with a loss, 5-1.

Leaders
- Camacho scored three of his five goals on the season, all in the second half. He also assisted on a goal by Colby Snyder (Hagerstown, MD, Washington County Technical), giving him seven points on the day.
- Snyder and  each scored a goal for the Mounties, to go with Camacho's tallies.
- Michael Boyle (Woolwich Township, NJ, Kingsway), Curtis Brewer (Bethlehem, PA, Freedom High School), and Jonathan Fernandez (Herndon, VA, Herndon), also added assists.
- UPG's Danny Rodgers led the game with 12 saves.

How It Happened
- Pitt-Greensburg scored the first goal of the game, in the sixth minute. 1-0 UPG
- The Mounties were aggressive in the rest of the first half, getting called offsides four times and putting five shots on goal, in the first 30 minutes.
- In a span of two minutes, the Mounties took the lead. Vivier scored first on a cross to the left-side of the box, where he put away the shot to tie the game. Then, Snyder scored on a pass inside the box from Camacho, to put the Mounties ahead, 2-1.
- Camacho made his mark, early in the second half. In the 49th minute, he scored his first goal of the game, then added his second goal in the 52nd minute. At that point, Mount Aloysius held a 4-1 lead.
- Boyle found Camacho in the 78th minute, for his third goal, giving them the 5-1 lead that they ended the game with.

Into the Box Score
- Mount Aloysius held a significant 22-3 advantage in shots, for the game. They put 17 shots on goal, resulting in five goals and 12 saves.
- Mountie goalkeeper, , only had to save one shot, which came in the first half.
- Corner kicks also gave the Mounties an advantage, 6-2. Five of the chances came in the first half.

Up Next
- Mount Aloysius will travel to Alfred State, to battle the Pioneers, on Saturday. The game is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
