ALFRED, N.Y. -- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team improved to 3-2 in AMCC play, on Saturday, as the beat Alfred State on the road, 2-0.

Leaders
- Halee Peters (Mohrsville, PA, Schuylkill Valley) scored the first goal of her career for the Mounties, while Kourtney Walls (Salix, PA, Forest Hills) added an insurance goal.
- Lauren Davey (Leonardtown, MD, St. Mary's Ryken) recorded a shutout, making a game-high, six saves.

How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius controlled the game early in the first half, as they forced Pioneer goalkeeper, Sierra Schofield, to make three saves while Davey only recorded one.
- Peters made the score, 1-0, on her shot in the 25th minute. The goal was her first career collegiate goal.
- Little offensive action occurred over the final 20 minutes of the half, as the Pioneers attempted the only shot, which was saved by Davey.
- The second half saw little scoring action, like the first. Walls added her goal, in the 87th minute, giving the Mounties a two-goal cushion with just under three minutes remaining.
- ASC attempted one final shot, but failed to score, ending the game, 2-0.

- Mount Aloysius held a slim advantage in shots, 10-8. They only put one more shot on goal than the Pioneers.
