CRESSON, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team won their regular season finale, on Tuesday night, as they beat Penn State Altoona, 3-1. The match winner would earn the number three seed in the coming AMCC Tournament.

Katie Figinski (Abingdon, MD, Edgewood) scored two goals for Mount Aloysius, giving her seven total on the season.

Johnna Adams (Lancaster, PA, Hempfield) added three total points, as she assisted on each Mountie goal.

Lauren Davey (Leonardtown, MD, St. Mary's Ryken), finished the game with a team-high, two saves.
How It Happened
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half.Â
Kourtney Walls (Salix, PA, Forest Hills) had the best chance as she put a shot off the crossbar, in the 39th minute.
- Walls did find the net in the second half, as she put the Mounties up, 1-0. After Walls took a corner kick, which she passed short to Adams, Adams passed it back where Walls put it above the keeper for her 11th goal of the season.
- Figinski would score her two goals, within five minutes of each other. Both goals were on similar plays, where Adams crossed the ball into the box and Figinski took one touch and put it past the Lion keeper.
- Penn State Altoona cut the lead to 3-1, in the 81st minute, on a crossing pass that was one-timed past Davey. Each team took one more shot, but the Mounties held on for the victory.

- The box score is mostly even, except for shots on goal. The Mounties attempted eight shots on goal, compared to only three for the Lions.
- Each team attempted two corner kicks and Mount Aloysius held a slim 9-7 advantage in fouls.

- With the win, Mount Aloysius has secured the #3 seed in the upcoming AMCC Tournament. They will host #6 seed, Medaille.
- After falling to Mount Aloysius, this past Saturday, 5-0, the Mavericks were beaten by Penn State Behrend, 7-0, on Tuesday.
- The game will be played at the Ray & Louise Walker Athletic Complex, on Friday, at 2:00 p.m.
- The winner of the game will travel to #2 Pitt-Greensburg, on Wednesday, November 3rd, for the Semi-final round.
