GRANTHAM, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Soccer team played in their second NCAA Tournament game, in program history, over the weekend. They were matched up with Messiah in the First Round. The Falcons scored twice to down the Mounties, 2-0.

How It Happened
- Messiah opened the scoring in the second minute of the game, on a goal by Jake Lent-Koop. The goal gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
- The Falcons played stellar defense in the first half, as the Mounties never attempted a shot. Priestley tallied all three saves in the first segment.
- In the second half, Messiah's Trevor Goodling scored the insurance goal, putting the Falcons ahead, 2-0. The goal came in the 59th minute.
- Both Mountie shots on goal came in the 89th minute, as they made a last-ditch effort to extend the game before running out of time.
Into the Box Score
- Messiah outshot the Mounties 13-4, but only had a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.
- The major advantage for the Falcons came in corner kicks, as they had nine compared to only two chances for the Mounties.
The Mounties concluded their season with a 10-6-4 overall record. The AMCC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearances were their first since 2015, and only second ever.
