INDIANA, Pa. -- In an early game on Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius women's basketball team was unable to overcome a formidable Division II opponent, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, falling 101-35.

Leaders
- Cameron Bates (Fort Pierce, FL, John Carroll) and Hailey Drutarosky (Freedom, Pa., Sewickley Academy) led the team in scoring, each contributing six points. Drutarosky also had two takeaways.
- Three Mounties each chipped in five points for the game - Zoé Harding (Garrett, PA, Berlin-Brothersvalley), Carly Stigers (Beaverdale, PA, Forest Hills), and Chloe Clemons (Kailua, HI, Kalaheo).

How It Happened

- IUP continued to dominate in the second quarter, resulting in 57-13 as the half-time score.
- The Mounties, however, fought hard in the third quarter, using a balanced attack on offense and slowing down IUP on defense. While they were unable to cut into the lead, they ultimately only lost the quarter by six.
- IUP finished the game strong though, passing the century mark for a final score of 101-35.

- The Mounties were effective from the charity stripe, going 10-13 for a 76.9 percentage. They outpaced IUP, who only converted eight free throws.
