INDIANA, Pa. -- In an early game on Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius women's basketball team was unable to overcome a formidable Division II opponent, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, falling 101-35.

Cameron Bates (Fort Pierce, FL, John Carroll) and
Hailey Drutarosky (Freedom, Pa., Sewickley Academy) led the team in scoring, each contributing six points. Drutarosky also had two takeaways.
- Three Mounties each chipped in five points for the game -
Zoé Harding (Garrett, PA, Berlin-Brothersvalley),
Carly Stigers (Beaverdale, PA, Forest Hills), and
Chloe Clemons (Kailua, HI, Kalaheo).
How It Happened
- The Mounties scored first on a driving layup by Drutarosky. IUP, however, would go on a tear converting 32 unanswered points before the Mounties stopped the run. The quarter ended with IUP leading 36-5.
- IUP continued to dominate in the second quarter, resulting in 57-13 as the half-time score.
- The Mounties, however, fought hard in the third quarter, using a balanced attack on offense and slowing down IUP on defense. While they were unable to cut into the lead, they ultimately only lost the quarter by six.
- IUP finished the game strong though, passing the century mark for a final score of 101-35.
Into the Box Score
- The Mounties were effective from the charity stripe, going 10-13 for a 76.9 percentage. They outpaced IUP, who only converted eight free throws.
