ERIE, Pa. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team opened up AMCC play, when they traveled to Penn State Behrend. They fell 1-0 to the Lions.

Kourtney Walls (Salix, PA, Forest Hills) had three shots, which accounted for 60% of the total shots from the Mounties.

Lauren Davey (Leonardtown, MD, St. Mary's Ryken) registered a game-high, seven saves, while getting tagged with the loss in goal.

How It Happened
- Penn State Behrend applied pressure early on the Mounties defense. They got four shots and two corner kicks, in the first ten minutes.
- Mia Zec scored the lone goal of the game, in the 11th minute, into the corner of the goal for a 1-0 lead.
- The Lions continued to play aggressively, as they tallied five more shots and three more corner kicks before the end of the first half. Davey was able to save the three other shots on goal.
- Mount Aloysius was limited in opportunities, as Walls andÂ
Katie Figinski (Abingdon, MD, Edgewood) attempted the only two shots, which were both saved by the Lion keeper, Madi Jones. The Mounties also produced a single corner kick opportunity.
- In the second half, the advantages really didn't change. Penn State Behrend attempted 13 shots while only allowing five from the Mounties. It was also a 6-1 corner kick advantage.
- Walls had the final two shots on goal for the Mounties, one of them coming in the 90th minute, but could not get either of them into the net.

- Penn State Behrend owned most of the box score advantages. 23-5 in shots, 8-4 in shots on goal, and 12-2 in corner kicks. These advantages, while only producing one goal, gave them more opportunities.
- The fouls showed the game being close and played physically even, as the Lions had nine fouls and the Mounties had eight.
