BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- On Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team traveled to Geneva, to take on the Golden Tornadoes, in a non-conference matchup. They came away with the victory, 4-1, powered by three first half goals.

Kourtney Walls (Salix, PA, Forest Hills) scored her second and third goals of the year, accounting for half of the Mounties goal output. She also added an assist. Walls currently leads the Mounties with seven points on the season.

Cayla Aquino (New Oxford, PA, Delone Catholic) each added their first goal of the year. Adams is second on the team, with four points.

Lauren Davey (Leonardtown, MD, St. Mary's Ryken) earned her second win of the season and made a game-high, six saves. She is still first in the AMCC, now with 27 saves.
How It Happened
- The Mounties got started early, as they scored their first goal in the tenth minute. Aquino got it started, finding the back of the net, off an assist by Walls, putting the Mounties ahead, 1-0.
- Adams didn't waste much time, as she added her goal in the 12th minute, giving the Mounties an early two-goal cushion.
- While still in the first half, Walls added the third Mountie marker, when she took a pass from
Jasmine Hinton (Huntingtown, MD, Huntingtown). All three Mountie goals took place in the first 30 minutes.
- Davey saved four of her six shots in the first half, keeping the Golden Tornadoes off the scoreboard heading into the half.
- In the 57th minute, Walls added her second goal of the game, which pushed the Mountie lead to 4-0, its biggest lead at any point this season.
- Geneva scored their lone goal of the game in the 66th minute. The goal was scored by Lexi Meese.
- Two more shots were on target for the Mounties, but both were saved by the Geneva keeper, leaving the final score at 4-1.

- Much of the game was played evenly, as Mount Aloysius only attempted three more shots than Geneva. Each team had seven shots on goal, but four of those resulted in Mountie goals.
- There were only four corner kicks awarded in the game, with Mount Aloysius having three of them.
- Both teams played cleanly, having only 11 total fouls and one yellow card.

- Mount Aloysius will take on another Presidents' Athletic Conference member, on Saturday, when they host Waynesburg. The matchup will be the opener of a Men's and Women's doubleheader, beginning at 1 p.m.
- Waynesburg (1-1) is coming off a 5-0 win against La Roche, on Wednesday night.
