CRESSON, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team was in control of the game for three quarters against visiting Penn College, but saw the lead slip away in the final quarter, falling 66-51.

Bree Garzel (Port Allegany, Pa., Port Allegany) matched her season-high with 18 points, including three 3-pointers, and she also dished out a team-high three assists.

Hailey Drutarosky (Freedom, Pa., Sewickley Academy)Â contributed 13 points, while
Addison Jones (Orlando, Fl., Master's Academy) added 7 points and 6 boards.
How It Happened
- The Mounties had a strong first quarter, finishing with a 14-9 lead. Garzel contributed half of the points during the period, while Drutarosky added five points.
- Penn College responded in the second quarter, overtaking the lead at the six-minute mark. The Mounties trailed slightly during the latter part of the quarter until
Hanna Rittenhouse (Mc Veytown, Pa., Mifflin County) tied the game on a three-pointer at the 1:41 mark to make it 24-24. Both teams would each convert two more points for a halftime score of 26-26.
- Two minutes into the third quarter, Garzel made a layup to give the Mounties the 29-28 lead. The game stayed close throughout the quarter but the Mounties maintained a small advantage, 41-38.
- Penn College, however, charged forward in the final quarter of the game, scoring 28 points to just ten points for the Mounties. The game concluded with the Mounties falling 66-51.
